Abstract

The article tries to describe the fundamental gesture of contemporary French debates around community with the help of an analysis of emotive disposition of «deception». Deception, considered ad a non-negative disposition in front of the end of political ideals, would represent a central climax of deconstructive task concerning political philosophy: it forces to abandon the possibility of «deduce» and «solve» the political question of being-in-common through a rational basis, and to the impossibility of theoretical recourse able to «axiomatise» the notion of community. That gesture, essentially close to a Nietzschean nihilistic posture, demands to risk, or philosophically assume the challenge, of having into the thinking of the political a catastrophic principle of his concept.
